Open Bids



The Wayne County Commissioners will receive sealed bids on a single prime contract project until 4:00 PM prevailing time on Wednesday May 20th, 2015 at the office of the Commissioners on the Third Floor of the Court House Annex at 925 Court Street, Honesdale, PA 18431.   Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud during the regular meeting of the Commissioners that begins at 10:30 AM on Thursday May 21st, 2015. Bid packages including drawings and specifications may be obtained at the above address or by contacting the Commissioners Office at (570) 253-5970 extension 4050. A $10.00 non-refundable fee is required for the bid packages. Checks or money orders are to be payable to the Wayne County Commissioners.

The work involves all labor, equipment and materials for the removal the existing membrane roof, ballast, roof drains, and any deteriorated insulation at the Wayne County Court House Annex located at 925 Court Street in Honesdale. New work includes replacement of the roof drains and insulation in areas where insulation was removed, the installation of approximately 8105 square feet of new, fully adhered, EPDM roofing over 1″ high density base insulation board, parapet cap and incidental flashing and any repairs to the roof substrate as required or directed.

The sealed bid must be marked “WAYNE COUNTY COURT HOUSE ANNEX ROOF REPLACEMENT.” A certified check or bank draft payable to Wayne County, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder, and an acceptable Surety in an amount equal to 10% of the total Bid, shall be submitted with each bid.

The Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities in the Bidding.   Bids may be held by the Commissioners for a period not to exceed 45 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidder, prior to the award of the Contract. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest Responsible bidder.

The County of Wayne is hereby seeking proposals from Wayne County Municipal Waste Haulers that are interested in providing municipal waste collection services for county offices and buildings. The contract is for a (2) year time period, beginning on July 1, 2015 and ending on June 30, 2017. Interested haulers may obtain a copy of the required “Proposal Form” from the Wayne County Recycling Center, 66 Volunteer Drive, Honesdale, PA 18431, or by calling (570)-253-9727. Respondents must posses a current Waste Hauler Authorization, issued by the Pa. Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) under Act 90. Proposals must be received no later than 4:00 pm on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the Wayne County Recycling Center.

Wayne County reserves the right to reject any or all responses and to waive any informalities in the solicitation process.
